The Secret of Happiness - Forest

Have you walked in nature, such as in a forest or park, recently?
If you're feeling a little tired or stressed in your daily life, try taking a trip out into nature.
In Finland, it's common to visit the forest after work or on the weekend. Forests cover a large part of the country and have long been an integral part of people's lives, whether they go there to pick berries, gather mushrooms or go hiking. Even if you don't realize it, just walking under the trees can calm your mind and clear your thoughts - the forest has a mysterious power.

🌲 Forest bathing, a practice that puts the body into a relaxed state, has been gaining popularity in Japan for a long time. Entering the forest lowers your heart rate and blood pressure, activates the parasympathetic nervous system, and increases relaxation. Research has also shown that it improves immunity and sleep quality, making it a truly natural health method brought about by nature.

🌲 Change your mind to a positive one. Walking in the forest will mysteriously bring about a positive feeling.
It becomes easier to break out of negative thought loops, and your brain naturally switches to positive thinking mode. A Finnish happiness survey found that "where you are" has a greater impact on happiness than "who you are with."

🌲 Recharge your concentration. Nature is a great way to recharge your energy when you need to focus on your studies or work.
Spending time in the forest improves your ability to complete tasks, as well as your attention and concentration. It also improves work and study efficiency and enhances your imagination, making it a veritable "brain recharge spot."

🌲 A feast of pure air. The leaves and needles of the trees act as filters, purifying the air and producing pure oxygen. When you take a deep breath, the pure air reaches your entire body, clearing your body and mind. This is a luxury you can only experience in the forest.

Phytoncides, the soothing scent of plants and trees, are volatile compounds released into the air. They have the ability to suppress harmful microorganisms and purify the air. Similar to aromatherapy, phytoncides have a deeply relaxing effect, relieving stress and anxiety.

🌲Beneficial bacteria

The air in the forest is teeming with beneficial bacteria that keep our bodies healthy. When you smell the earth in the forest and touch the soil and tree trunks, your body's immunity is further strengthened. This helps protect us from allergies and autoimmune diseases, which are on the rise in modern society.

🌲 Sound Therapy: Birds chirping, leaves rustling in the wind, a babbling brook—the forest is filled with soothing sounds. In today's world, we're surrounded by so much man-made noise that our nervous systems can't rest. The calming sounds of nature are the ultimate sound therapy.

🌳 Summary Even if there is no forest nearby, simply walking in a park or greenway can be very beneficial.
Even in the midst of your busy daily life, try to consciously place yourself in nature and take deep breaths.
Forests are places that bring out dormant talents and creativity, and give you energy and radiance from within. They are closely related not only to the health of the mind and body, but also to beauty.
