Authentication to ensure trust

Greenwashing of natural cosmetics naturally raises fears and concerns among consumers.

Hohde skin care products are 100% natural cosmetics made in Finland and certified as truly Finnish products.

We use domestically produced ingredients whenever possible and source them responsibly when they come from abroad - everything we use in our products is purchased from carefully selected partners in Europe, primarily in Finland.

Fi-Natura

FI-Natura is an independent non-profit organisation whose aim is to raise awareness of Finnish natural cosmetics, reduce greenwashing and help consumers recognise genuine Finnish natural cosmetics. Nearly all synthetic ingredients are banned, product packaging is recyclable and animal testing is strictly prohibited.

FI-Natura guarantees:

- The products are genuine natural cosmetics made in Finland.

・At least 95 % of the raw materials used in certified products are of natural origin ( 99 % at Hohode).

- Does not contain more than 5 % of other specified substances.

At least 70 % of the certified products must be manufactured in Finland ( 100 % in Hohode).

 

Key Flag Mark Avainnlippu

The Key Flag is the Finnish labour symbol. It shows that the product is manufactured or produced in Finland and that employment is in Finland. At least 50% of the product or service must be made in Finland. More than 80% of the products produced in Finland bear the Key Flag.

 

Design from Finland

The Design from Finland mark is a mark that shows that a product or service has been professionally, responsibly and consumer-orientedly designed in Finland. This certification is awarded by the Finnish Design Board to products, product groups, named services or a combination of these that have excellent design among the member organisations of the Finnish Labour Organisation.

 

CosmEthics

CosmEthics certification is a mark of the cosmetics industry that certifies that products are safe and that the raw materials and manufacturing of the products meet European standards for natural cosmetics. It guarantees that no animal testing is conducted and that no animal-derived substances, genetically modified substances, mineral oils, silicates, artificial fragrances, dyes or parabens are used in the manufacturing process. The products do not contain any substances banned or harmful in the EU.

 

COSMOS NATURAL

Cosmos Natural Certification prohibits the use of nano-ingredients, genetically modified ingredients, and irradiation. It minimizes the direct and indirect environmental impacts of its product packaging operations, and only uses organic or CSPO-certified palm oil.

 

Cosmos Organic Certification is a mark that guarantees that at least 20% of a product's total ingredients are organic (10% for rinse-off products) and that at least 95% of the product's agricultural raw materials are organic.
